Paige Tennison is the owner of Petite Engineering. This has been one of Paige's ambition to start up her my own company.

Paige decided that she wanted a career in engineering having undertaken a two week work experience programme at Smiths  (Harlow) Ltd while still at school. While at Smiths (Harlow) Ltd Paige showed enthusiasm, maturity and commitment so the company encouraged her to use CAD and CAM technologies, to use milling and lathe machines. Paige also carried out the inspection of components on the production lines and general labouring.

At the end of her work experience Paige was adamant that engineering was her chosen career. Paige became an apprentice and studied at different companies such as: Essex County Council, Applied Scintillation Technologies Limited  (AST), Scintercor, GSK, Johnson Contrals, Huco and Harlow college.

During her apprenticeship Paige also gave presentations at the Houses of Parliament about women in engineering as well as to a number of different organisations too. 

​

Paige is a very competitive woman and has won titles such as South East Apprentice of the 2014, Apprentice of the year and the Jack Petchey award. Paige acted as an Apprenticeship Ambassador and worked on STEM programmes in schools, demonstrating engineering techniques which the young people can relate to. One example of this was working with a small group to build and program a 3D printer. They were then able to produce an items for themselves.

Paige's goal is to help local companies who need a petite helping hand to help them grow and to be the best they can be.
